Dalet Cloud and AI Deliver Workflow Mobility

dalet

Latin America. Dalet has introduced significant updates to its media logistics solution, AI-powered production, and IP ingest and playback product line.

Cloud-native platforms such as Dalet Flex, Dalet Media Cortex and Dalet Brio support the industry's continuous transition with flexible, cloud-based hybrid workflows, giving media organizations the digital prowess they need to support work-from-home scenarios.

Robust APIs and integration dashboards simplify collaboration with creative tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and enterprise applications like Salesforce and Slack, enabling the transformation of both media and business workflows for Dalet customers.

"These new capabilities help our customers not only overcome the challenges introduced by a workplace in transition, but better prepare for future disruptions," said Bea Alonso, managing director of markets at Dalet. "Our customers' experience is at the heart of our product development. Dalet offers highly adaptable tools that improve media workflows and your business outcome. We look forward to delivering these capabilities to our customers and showing them in person at the CABSAT2021 (booth Z2H) and IBC2021 (suite 1BS21) events, as well as virtually at Dalet Connect."

A single source of truth in the media supply chain
Dalet Flex centralizes production, distribution, and archiving workflows in a configurable content management application that makes it easier and less expensive to manage, package, and distribute content. Advanced metadata and analytics capabilities, backed by a media asset management (MAM) layer and orchestration engine, provide a single source of truth for media assets in the supply chain. The Dalet Flex multi-cloud solution can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud or as a hybrid solution, providing multiple options to users.

The new FlexXTEND panel provides better integration with creative tools like Adobe Premiere Pro. The panel allows the search and discovery of content through text; advanced filters and classification by any metadata, and salvageable searches for the most common queries. Users can work with proxy files or original content and view thumbnail or ready mode to browse and find content. They also have the ability to preview the video, image, and audio before importing it into your project. Users can collaborate thanks to FlexMAM and its content collections.

Dalet's product team continues to add important capabilities to Dalet Flex, including previewing individually selected audio tracks, increased metadata thesaurus support, and bulk mode metadata changes.

The Path to IP Production Workflows
The Dalet Brio ingest and playback platform provides media companies with an easy transition to full IP production workflows. Offering maximum flexibility to create and deliver content across hybrid infrastructures, Dalet Brio supports higher density with more ingest and playback streams, making it even easier and faster for enterprises to migrate operations to IP without disrupting existing workflows that still rely on SDI.

Smarter workload distribution and core optimizations in HD and UHD increase density and drive a smoother ingest and playback workflow for high-resolution productions.

Increased user experience thanks to AI
Dalet Media Cortex, an AI service platform, leverages cognitive services and machine learning to offer Dalet customers powerful speech-to-text, object recognition, facial recognition, and automatic subtitling services. Recent additions include APIs for translating subtitles while preserving time information, eliminating the need to manually re-time translated subtitles.

In addition, the built-in subtitle editor now flags violations related to the overlap of times, lines, and characters in real time, allowing users to address visual issues early in the production process. Dalet Media Cortex, an add-on to Dalet's media workflows and news solutions, will also be included as part of the initial Dalet Pyramid package – Dalet's new unified news operations solution, which will be released soon.

Dalet Media Cortex adds technologies from best-in-class AI engines, such as Amazon Web Services and Speechmatics, to deliver outstanding results.

Cloud Tipping Point and the Need for Speed
The need for remote staff and business continuity has accelerated the industry's transition to the cloud. Dalet's offerings feature a hybrid or total cloud architecture in terms of compute and storage, allowing customers to design a workflow that eliminates existing technical debt and better responds to an ever-changing environment.
