Latin America. Valsoft Corporation Inc., a Montreal-based company specializing in the acquisition and development of software companies in vertical markets, announced the acquisition of VSN Video Stream Networks S.L., a Broadcast and Media solutions company.
Headquartered in Terrassa, Barcelona, Spain, VSN offers media management, production, planning, cross-platform content delivery, and broadcast and publishing solutions across linear and non-linear channels. The acquisition of VSN places Aspire Software (a Valsoft operating group) in a new vertical and reinforces Aspire's presence in Spain.
Founded in 1990, VSN is a leading company in the Spanish market, with offices around the world, including North America, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America. VSN tools manage the entire media lifecycle, from ingest to broadcast and archive, in an agile and unified way. For more than 30 years, VSN has helped companies that work daily with video content improve their efficiency and productivity.
"This new stage with Valsoft is, without a doubt, a great opportunity for VSN. We are excited about the strategic projection that Valsoft will bring us, expanding and consolidating our international expansion and drawing a new horizon for VSN in the Broadcast and Media sector", commented Jordi Utiel, CEO of VSN.
With this acquisition, VSN becomes the second company based in Spain to join the Aspire family, along with the leader in construction solutions Telematel. By joining Aspire Software, VSN will be able to offer an even better service to its customers, while accelerating its global expansion efforts. VSN founder and CEO Jordi Utiel will remain with the company to ensure a smooth transition and the global management team will continue to lead the business and drive its products and the company into the future.
One of the main pillars of Valsoft is to invest in consolidated entities and foster a business environment that allows an organization to grow as a leader in its respective industry. Valsoft is not a private equity or venture capital organization. Its goal is for organizations to grow sustainably, through long-term collaborations with local management.
"We are delighted to enter the Broadcast & Media sector and partner with an industry leader who delivers innovative solutions to world-class global clients. We are impressed by VSN's value proposition and the customer-oriented culture jordi and his team have built over the past few decades. We look forward to welcoming VSN customers, employees and partners to the Aspire Software family," said Michael Assi, CEO of Aspire Software, a Valsoft operating group.
For the negotiation, Valsoft was represented internally by David Felicissimo, Legal Counsel, and Pamela Romero, Paralegal. VSN was represented by Isabel Gandoy, partner of the law firm Cuatrecasas.
