Latin America. Chyron released version 4.1 of prime live platform, which offers robust production capabilities with streaming quality that are flexible and scalable. The platform is environment-agnostic: it can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or as a hybrid integration.
This release debuts PRIME Commander, a new automated production control module for PRIME Live Platform that realizes the vision of accessible production automation. This release also addresses highly sought-after customer feature requests in the recently released PRIME Switcher module, bringing additional video and audio mixing functionality to this core component of the PRIME Live platform.
"With PRIME Commander, we are adding production automation to our live production ecosystem," said Chyron CEO Ariel Garcia. "News broadcasters can power local productions with a smaller footprint than ever before, or remotely access their cloud-hosted PRIME Live Platform through Commander's interface to run shows from home. PRIME Commander presents an incredible opportunity to decouple production from the traditional control room, automate new channels in OTT and streaming markets, and maximize revenue, all without the prohibitive upfront expense usually associated with automation."
PRIME Commander connects and plays with industry-standard newsroom computer systems (NRCS), such as ENPS and iNews, to automatically create and update playlists of reports prepared by journalists and producers in real time. When it's time to go on the air, PRIME Commander serves as a production automation layer within prime Live Platform that directs the mixer, graphics, clips, audio mixer, video wall, and branded modules to run accurate, error-free productions. In addition, PRIME Commander supports device control of other vital third-party components, such as routers, VCDP-controlled video servers, and GPI devices.
On the video side, PRIME Switcher now offers a clean power output, ideal for sports and news announcers who want to distribute a clean signal for multi-season or multilingual productions. In addition, production switch setup is now simplified, with a Windows-based video input management interface and a setup screen
Another standout feature of PRIME V4.1 is audio Director's unique functionality, which uses audio level detection for intelligent switching and presets, resulting in lightly automated audio control and video tracking of any program. Audio Director is a standout feature for producing visual radio programs with ease.
