Latin America. Canon introduced its first line of 4K UHD PTZ cameras: CR-N500 and CR-N300 for indoor live broadcasts and CR-X500 outdoors. They are designed to be used in a wide range of applications in broadcast, education, church, sports and corporate environments.
This new line of cameras unites Canon's digital imaging and operational expertise, both professional camcorders and network cameras. This allows cameras to not only deliver 4K resolution images thanks to Canon's CMOS sensors, DIGIC DV 6 image processor and optical zoom lenses, but also control of horizontal, vertical, and zoom motion when a live stream is taking place.
The new indoor PTZ cameras support multiple video interfaces, including HDMI, IP, and 3G-SDI, and also support the most popular live production protocols, such as NDI | HX, RTMP, among others. The new outdoor PTZ camera supports 12G-SDI and includes weatherproof protection, including rain, dust, etc., which meets IP55 standards.
In addition to cameras, Canon has also introduced a new remote camera controller, the RC-IP100, which supports IP and serial connections and can operate camera functions such as pan, tilt, zoom, focus and iris.
"The new PTZ cameras and remote camera controller have been designed with the system integrator market in mind. The productions and broadcasts that use this type of cameras have grown a lot. We look forward to seeing how these cameras will be incorporated into creative solutions for these users," said Fabio Zuccaratto Migotto, Transmission Sales Coordinator at Canon do Brasil.
