Latin America. ARRI introduced Remote Solutions, a set of tools that can be customized for workflows either near or far from the set. This remote production ecosystem allows professionals to return to work immediately and safely without compromising operational and creative control.
With a complete system of cameras, lights, heads and ARRI accessories connected, ARRI Remote Solutions offers workflows that allow safe social distancing both between actors and the team as well as between team members from each other.
ARR Remote Solutions enable professionals to:
• Control cameras, lights, remote heads and ARRI accessories remotely.
• Proven performance technology from an industry veteran
• Produce unmatched premium cinematic quality with workflows near and off set for broadcast, film and live events, corporate events, sports, music video productions, fashion and more.
Apps such as Stellar, ARRI's intelligent lighting control app, provide a smart and innovative way to control professional lighting.
It allows gaffers to change the color temperature and output without touching the lights or approaching the actors. Products such as the WCU-4 wireless control unit and the ERM (External Radio Module) allow film crews to control focus and camera movement from a greater distance and across barriers such as concrete floors or walls, while the Remote Stabilized Head (SRH) allows for kinematic camera movement and can be combined with a robotic dolly for movements near the set without having to approach to the actor. Simultaneously, Web control allows filmmakers and gaffers to control the camera and lighting from a creative and technical point of view from another room or even from another continent. The result is cinematic quality, no matter the distance from the film crew or its location.
"The pandemic has accelerated changes and forced productions to adapt. With travel and commute limitations and new on-set social distancing requirements, our connected ecosystem of proven tools can be customized to create safe sets, whether working on or off set, without compromising creativity or technical control of production. This is one more way we found at ARRI to support filmmakers and facilitate their work," said Stephan Schenk, General Manager, Global Sales and Solutions.
