Latin America. There are several solutions that the VSN company has prepared to present during the month of April, which focus on maximizing interoperability between systems and remote operation.
"This has taken on even more relevance today if possible, as a result of this pandemic that has hit us worldwide, but it is something that we have been working on for a long time in VSN and what the company continues to focus on in the face of its future product roadmap," Roberto Duif told TVyVideo+Radio. sales director for Latam of VSN.
There are three announcements: the new modules for content acquisition management and automated advertising programming for our web-based traffic system, VSNCrea; new semantic-based cataloguing tools for VSNExplorer MAM (in practice, they allow to obtain unequivocal and accurate metadata, regardless of the user who catalogs the content); and finally, new functionalities in VSN NewsConnect to enhance remote interoperability and allow to control multiple studies located in different locations, while adapting the average automatically for each study even when the third-party systems used in them are from different suppliers and brands.
"All these novelties seek, in short, to improve the collaborative work and remote operation of broadcast and media companies, while improving efficiency and reducing time and resources for the production and daily delivery of content," said the executive.
To present all their solutions and show them in action, they have designed the VSN Wired, their first online event that they have launched to remain connected with all the public, partners and customers despite the cancellations and delays that industry events have suffered in recent months.
New projects
One of the projects that the Spanish company VSN has recently closed in the region is the renewal of the VSN Matic playout system of the RPP TV channel in Peru for the integrated playout VSN One TV, thus renewing the commercial and trust relationship they have with VSN after 10 years collaborating together.
Roberto Duif added that "it is also worth highlighting the archival system that we have implemented for Special Justice for Peace (JEP) in Colombia, to preserve all the content generated in the hearings of the peace process, and the archive system for Teleantioquia in Medellín. In this case, the project had mixed hard drive technology and LTO library and a news solution based on the VSN NewsConnect web plugin for production and the VSNExplorer MAM system for content management."
In addition, some VSN customers such as Pauta.cl or TV+ in Chile are already working and broadcasting their programming remotely thanks to their technology and without experiencing any type of setback in their daily operations. "This is going to be an example of the type of project that will be seen more and more from now on throughout the region, as has happened in the rest of the world where many companies have been forced to accelerate ahead of time that shift towards remote production and web systems capable of running on cloud infrastructure and allow collaborative work between professionals," Concluded.
