Latin America. The growth of Internet radio should not represent the slowdown and disappearance of traditional AM or FM radio. Rather, they must coexist, said Gary Luhrman, Sales and Marketing Manager at Inovonics.
"RF broadcasters are going to coexist together with radio streaming as well, and there are some interesting things, for example in Internet radio they are implementing video. I think the two will live together," he said during NAB Show 2019.
To this end, Inovonics offers a wide variety of products for both areas of radio. "We are presenting six products at NAB this year. First of all we have a new product that is a new site streamer, it is a receiver for remote monitoring. And now we have a site streamer plus that is a super site streamer, because the processor is much more powerful and we are going to have four models in the NAB. We are presenting the model for FM and HD radio and then you enter before it has adjustable outputs up to analog, digital and also in IP AES67".
He added that the interesting thing is that in the HD radio the images of the broadcast in HD are presented on the computer screen, then it is a good way to ensure the station that is presenting the HD radio images well. Of course it has alarms and notifications; if something happens, a piece of news will come to repair something. It also streams up to 10 people who can listen to the same stream at once.
Luhrman added about the company's presence in Latin America: "We are doing well, every year we are getting to know more stations, expanding our network of distributors and we have a lot of history in Latin America, So the brand is known and what we are trying to do is present new products, to assure them that we are here to support the Latin American community."
