Latin America. IP is a reality for the broadcast industry. To achieve this, various options must be offered, according to the specific needs of customers, said David García, Broadcast Engineer of International Sales of Broadcast Concepts.
"IP is a reality, it depends on many countries to support the internet and bandwidth. There are places that have better bandwidth, better system function, but we are giving options because for many broadcasters from several Latin American countries we are giving you the possibility to set up a server in Miami with us, not just work the hub. Not to put it in the country of origin, also the possibility of putting it in Miami, not to depend on the connection of exit from the country, but to make a bridge to Miami and launch it to the world with the theme of FM. With our servers, it would be much better," he said during NAB Show 2019.
On the products they showed during the exhibition, García detailed: "We continue with the solutions with amplifier panels, we are tending to HF in high power from 3 to 30 MHz. A new line that we are taking out for communications and broacasting. We also have an automation system – which we are launching at NAB 2019 – called Kdabra, which is multimedia that mixes radio, television and social networks, Facebook Live, with the possibility of mixing radio or television content, sharing it and putting it online. It's complete automation and it's all pointing to IP."
He mentioned that despite the difficult economic situation of some countries in the region, the company's sales have increased. "In Latin America there are important readjustments but we have a market, a niche; in Colombia we have improved sales, a little other countries that are really with many problems, but in positive balance. We have grown and the idea is to aim to extend to Asia, Thailand, Indonesia, they are markets that are growing and motivates us to stay in the fight."
