Chile. The manufacturer of quality control (QA) solutions and ease of testing, Testronic, opened its first facilities in Latin America, located in Santiago de Chile. Its solutions ensure that movies, TV, and games work on all devices.
The push to expand into Latin America is due to the expected explosion of OTT media consumption in the region. Over the next five years, OTT revenue is projected to triple, according to an independent study by Digital TV Research. In addition, Testronic has had interest from several OTT providers who want to launch services in the region, which has spurred the foundation of the test facility.
Testronic is a global provider of quality control in movies, TV, games and OTT platforms, with facilities in London, Warsaw, Burbank and now Santiago. Founded more than 20 years ago, Testronic has teams of quality control experts who can test the consumer experience across all platforms, ensuring that OTT services provide the best possible experience to end users.
"The Latin American OTT market represents a great opportunity for growth, especially for sports. Our quality assurance testing services help ensure the successful delivery of the best possible end-user experience from launch. Santiago is the best place to start our expansion in the Latin American market with one of the most open, stable economies and a rich pool of talents. We are excited to join the growing media services community in Santiago," said Chris Parry, Testronic's Vice President of Strategic Alliances.
