Latin America. Panasonic announced the new CX series of camcorders covering both image production and streaming applications. Topping the series is the AG-CX350 memory card camcorder, which will begin shipping in February 2019.
The AG-CX350 features a high-powered (24.5mm) wide-angle 20x optical zoom lens, and a new high-sensitivity, high-sensitivity 1.0-type MOS 4K sensor, which enables 10-bit image quality, 4K (UHD) resolution recording with a maximum of 60p or FHD with a maximum of 60p on the SDXC card.
A new high-efficiency HEVC codec (LongGOP, 10-bit, 4:2:0/MOV) allows for seamless playback and editing with a laptop or MacBook. The AG-CX350 also features an HLG gamma mode that supports HDR image production. Equipped with a high-definition, high-brightness LCD and parallel SDI/HDMI output, the AG-CX350 offers improved operation and ease of use, with a light weight of 1.9 kg, compact size and low power consumption.
The AG-CX350 provides NDI HX connectivity. It allows the video transmission system and camera control via IP connection for smooth production, which are live events and web distribution using the Panasonic PTZ Camera System with NDI and the AV-HLC100 Live Production Center.
A streaming function is also included and RTSP and RTMP protocols are supported. Both Facebook and YouTube Live are supported. And the AG-CX350 will support the MXF P2 file format for future streaming,*4 enabling AVC-Intra and AVC-LongG. Several streaming applications are anticipated.
