Mexico. The Federal Institute of Telecommunications, IFT, authorized four concessions to use and take advantage of frequency bands of the radio spectrum for the provision of the sound broadcasting service in Frequency Modulated, FM, with their respective unique concessions.
All these new concessions, intended for community social use, will benefit the inhabitants of Santo Domingo Zanatepec, San Antonio Castillo Velasco and Tlacolula de Matamoros, Oaxaca.
With the authorization of these concessions, a total of 57 concessions for community social use are added, which, in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Telecommunications and Broadcasting (LFTyR), are granted to civil society organizations that have a direct link or coordination with the community in which the service will be provided and that are constituted under the principles of direct citizen participation, social coexistence, equity, gender equality and plurality.
