Mexico. The increase in the needs of users of telecommunications networks – such as fiber optics – is increasing rapidly. Given this, operators must properly update their current networks to meet this demand, said Enrique Gandulfo, CEO of Veas.
"Eight years ago we started with the introduction of fiber optic solutions, but the development of networks and the incorporation of new users is just beginning; what we are incorporating this year are high capacity solutions for long distances, because at this moment the operators begin to provide service and begin to need bandwidth, but they are analyzing what they are going to do when the low-capacity connections they are using do not cope. What we do is try to offer an increase in the capacity to provide these services, because all in the short or medium term are going to need to expand that capacity," he said.
He added that this growth in the needs of operators has allowed the growth of the company at the regional level. "We present all the fiber optic products of FibraStore, where you also expose all monitoring and follow-up solutions that we give to our customers, which is essential for them to have 24-hour operation. We also present the division of Velocom Networks, which is the area of our corporate that allows us to provide our customers with bandwidth, services related to the cloud that allows us to offer adequate services. We are working on reducing costs and improving the quality of support for all our users."
On the company's performance, Gandulfo said: "The Latino market looks good to us. Mexico is advancing rapidly, So is Argentina; Brazil was one of the pioneers that used fiber optics and has a rapid deployment; Central America and countries like Ecuador are countries that are deploying fiber, but not with quality of services that should be, but definitely everyone is going to move in the same direction in the deployments of fiber networks."
