Mexico. A constant and sustained growth has had FilmLight in Latin America. The company creates and manufactures color correction systems, image processing applications, as well as workflow tools for the film and television industry.
"In Mexico in the last year we have grown something like 500%, in Latin America 750%, our situation in the Latin American market is not something new, we have been established here for 12 years, which are the ones I have been working with FilmLight. It is still a very lively market, with innovative post-production processes and I believe that our products are perfectly suited to those characteristics of the Latin American market," said Francisco Monje, commercial director and Manager of Key Accounts of the company.
During Expo Cine, TV y Video 2018, held in Mexico City, FilmLight presented itself as a partner of Avid. About this partnership, Monje said: "Basically a few years ago we developed a plug-in that works within Avidy is a continuation of our philosophy of bringing our color science to different departments of a post-production process. In the past we had made products for preview. With Avid years ago we started this collaboration."
He added: "The partnership with Avid simplifies flows a lot if you don't have the need to work with very heavy files or RAW camera or stuff like that; and most of post-production today is still in HD: commercials, TV series. So working on HD resolutions, having all the power of a color corrector within the same application – Avid in this case – without having to go out and export, because it is fantastic, so the public has received it very well. "
