Sonnet Technologies' Breakaway Box 650 is the latest model in the Thunderbolt 3 series of eGPU expansion boxes for professional graphics and gaming applications, designed specifically for power-hungry video graphics processing (GPU) cards with a 650-watt power supply.

The equipment allows users to take advantage of the power of high-power cards such as the AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 and Radeon 9100 Pro WX, and features a single slot to connect any GPU card and enough space for many cards at the same time.

The unit is equipped with a 40 Gbps port that allows data transfers of up to 2,750 Mbps, and includes two eight-legged auxiliary power connectors, providing up to 87 watts of power to power and charge a Connected Thunderbolt 3-compatible laptop.
