Those behind them can participate in the ninth edition of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market - BAM, which for 2018 advanced the date of its call for entrepreneurs in the sector, entrepreneurs and services associated with this industry. It will open on January 22 and close on March 15.

Spain will be the guest of honor for the ninth edition of the BAM to be held from July 9 to 13, 2018.

The guest country, which on this occasion is Spain, augurs an incomparable opportunity for the exchange of experiences between the markets of the two countries. Spain's participation in the BAM takes place within the framework of the Foco Cultura España - Colombia 2018-2019 program, organized by the Government of Spain and the Spanish Cultural Action in order to help the creators and cultural agents of the two countries to insert themselves in these markets".
The BAM is part of the Chamber's commitment to cultural and creative industries, whose sector is increasingly important for the country's economy, given that it represents 3.3% of the National GDP. The BAM is in line with the Smart Specialization Strategy of Bogotá and Cundinamarca, which prioritized the five areas in which efforts and resources should be focused. One of them is Bogotá Creative Region, to which the Creative industries and Content Cluster Initiative belongs, the BAM is part of the agenda of this cluster.
News of the CALLS of the BAM 2018
BAM Projects. Aimed at entrepreneurs with feature film projects (fiction, animation or documentary) and television in the development stage. For film projects, the call will be divided into two stages. From January 22 to February 22, 2018, the winners of the production calls of the Fund for Film Development - FDC can register. From February 23, the call will be opened for all entrepreneurs interested in participating.
Screenings. This call will be opened for entrepreneurs with feature films in final stages. It is divided into two categories: ready to go (feature films in the final phase or 'zero copy' without being released) and work in progress (feature films in the post-production stage).
Bammers. Aimed at young talents (natural persons) who are creative producers, want to acquire training on the audiovisual world and get in touch with other actors in the sector. They can apply with web series or other types of audiovisual projects.
BAM Stories. This call is aimed at screenwriters (natural persons) whose script has been shortlisted or winner of the FDC Call for the last two years and who want to publicize their talent and their stories in the audiovisual market.
Festival Workshop. Call for entrepreneurs representing local and regional festivals interested in improving internal processes and acquiring tools on programming, negotiation of film rights, and fundraising, among others. The workshop is organized by the Directorate of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture.
Video library: so as not to miss the contents of the BAM
The BAM, additionally, has the Video Library, a digital platform that will work through the Festival Scope tool in which the already released productions of film, television and web series will be exhibited. The content will be accessible to all participants and buyers registered in the BAM and those who have a paid account in Festival Scope; and will be available one month before and up to two months after the market.
