Colombia. Several pairs of Prodys' latest IP transmission system, dubbed Quantum Lite, were acquired by RCN Radio, Prodys' main customer in Colombia.
These systems were acquired in their process of renewal of IP transmission equipment, with the main requirement of having small portable equipment, which in turn will guarantee the stability of communication given the coverage and quality of service that mobile operators in the country can offer at the moment.
These two premises are the main characteristics of Quantum Lite equipment, whose reduced dimensions even allow you to mix audio signals such as a PC (through a Micro USB port), a microphone / line in XLR and / or an auxiliary stereo analog line input, without the need to resort to additional external equipment, turning the portable equipment into a compact mixing console, in addition to offering the recorder service directly on the computer, so that these reports (recordings) are played live during your participation or even sent to an FTP server directly from the portable transmission equipment.
This system is the only one that allows in its reduced dimensions to add up to 4 IP interfaces for audio transmission, using 2 High Gain 3G/4G Modem (incorporated into the equipment), 1 WIFI interface and 1 Ethernet interface for wired Internet access.
It is through these 4 IP interfaces that the equipment can work under 2 different transmission modes;
● Bonding or load balancing (using the Brave protocol, patented by PRODYS), adding in real time up to the 4 IP interfaces previously mentioned.
● Diversity, which allows to send the same information through the 4 IP interfaces, being a backup of the other, and automatically selecting in the stationary equipment the one that provides the highest quality in its transmission / communication.
