Latin America. LiveU, manufacturer of portable live video transmission systems, has managed to position itself as one of the preferred companies in the Latin American market, with special emphasis on countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, among others, said Francisco Roa, Technical Support Manager for Latin America at LiveU.
"The world is driven by disruptive companies, and LiveU is in mobility and continues to be so in the technology part. Our equipment is smaller, but with batteries of much longer duration -up to four hours- and that has the H.265 codec, which saves bandwidth but without losing quality, "he said during his participation in Expo Cine, Video y TV 2017, held in Mexico City.
He added: "The gigantic suitcases for live broadcasting are already in the past. It has been years since large suitcases were produced. We have products that are less than one kilogram; from the team they can see the status of the broadcast and all those kinds of little details are what make up a big company like LiveU."
Roa stressed that the main TV networks in Latin America use its products: "Among our main customers in Latin America are Televisa, Univision, TV Azteca, Caracol, Almavisión, Globo, Telemundo. Our strongest markets are Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, with the big chains in all countries. LiveU is at the most important moment in the eight years it has been in Mexico."
