NAB. Broadcast Electronics' STX Series transmitters will be present at NAB Show 2017. From the line of exciters of 60 and 500 watts known as STXe, through the STX LP Generation II series in its powers of 1kW, 2kw, 3kW and 5kW, as well as the high power transmitter of 10kW, recently incorporated into the family, such as the STX HP.
All these transmitters operate with a fully digital exciter, thus offering excellent on-air audio quality, but also compatible with digital HD Radio technology. The exciter includes a stereo generator, offering audio inputs in the following AES/EBU, Analog, Analog Composite Signal and also AES/Baseband 192 kHz formats for maximum audio quality.
It also incorporates an RDS generator and a silence sensor, which allows connections to the transmitter from two different audio sources and this offers as a benefit, that if the Silence Sensor detects the absence of audio, it automatically switches to the other backup audio input, to prevent the station from being off the air.
