Peru. The new Minister of Transport and Communications, Martín Vizcarra Cornejo, assumed the leadership of the MTC from his predecessor in office, José Gallardo Ku.
During the ceremony, the also first vice president of the Republic expressed the commitment to work transport and telecommunications projects in order to achieve the development of the country, especially the peoples of the interior.
Vizcarra Cornejo, a civil engineer from the National University of Engineering, has held various positions in the public and private sectors.
He was elected regional governor of Moquegua for the period 2011 - 2014; he has also been executive director of the Regional Special Project "Pasto Grande". In private activity, he has served as Operations Manager of C&M Vizcarra S.A.C.
In 2014, the Ministry of Education awarded him the Magisterial Palms in the Degree of "Amauta", for his remarkable contribution to the Education of the country.
