Latin America. During the last version of Natpe, which was held in Miami, TVyVideo+Radio spoke with Fernando Graciano, the person responsible for serving the Latino market in the company SeaChange, who said that there is an increasing interest in the new forms of content distribution of broadcast companies in the region, focused on efficiency.
"We are very pleased because it is the second time we have come to Natpe and we see that here there are great needs to be able to meet the distribution of content through new distribution models via OTT, second screen and multiscreen. And this is born from the need for the same content distributors and people who have a direct relationship beyond traditional models," he said.
SeaChange's proposal is new mechanisms that help improve the content distribution workflow beyond the traditional context. They help distribute content in a linear way live and monetize, which is a keyword with which the company was born, so they understand the concept of monetization well.
Fernando Graciano explained that the OTT adapts in many ways to support different business models and help entrepreneurs who use content as a second screen or multiscreen to exploit the use of their tools more efficiently, achieving profitability as far as possible.
"Technology helps any content be efficient. Here the important thing is to provide content companies with the efficiency they need and then the business models have to be leveraged on key factors such as the volume and the subject of the content itself, because after all the subscribers and users of these models are also looking for something and that something is content of interest that motivates you to pay for it. If we are efficient with innovation, technology and the entrepreneur is efficient with his content and a good business model, everything seems to indicate that the model will be successful."
Finally, he stressed that Latin America is a market that is growing, there are more and more needs. "We have seen this in our conversations during the fair. We have assisted them to help them find mechanisms that allow them to access these new technologies."
