Latin America. Sony has announced the launch of the HXR-NX100 camcorder, the newest addition to its family of professional NXCAM camcorders with high technology and excellent value for money. Sony has combined image quality, easy operability and a wide selection of recording formats on a device that supports multiple options for a wide range of professional applications ranging from events to documentaries.
The HXR-NX100 has a 1.0" ExmorTM R CMOS backlit sensor with a resolution of 20 megapixels. The sensor, which is almost the same size as the Super 16mm footage frame, offers high resolution, low noise, stunning image quality even in low-light conditions, and greater depth-of-field control to meet today's diverse recording demands. The incredible image quality is further enhanced thanks to Sony's G-series fixed lens.
The lens offers a 12x optical zoom from a 29mm viewing angle at the wide-angle end that can be increased to 24x with Clear Image Zoom, retaining its maximum resolution thanks to Super Resolution technology. Also, zoom performance can be doubled to 48x at any time using a digital extender. These features, combined with the addition of variable ND filter settings, make the HXR-NX100 camcorder ready to capture quality content in any environment.
The HXR-NX100 has an ergonomic design that makes it a lightweight and easy-to-use camcorder, ensuring quality, reliability and peace of mind during any type of shot. Three independent manual lens rings make it easy to access zoom, focus and iris functions.
The camcorder also offers a wide range of connectivity options including HDMI, USB, XLR and multi-interface (MI) terminals, allowing accessories to be used without the need to add cables, such as the UWP-D series of wireless microphones.
To further increase the recording flexibility of the Sony NXCAM family, the HXR-NX100 camcorder can record in AVCHD, DVCAM and XAVC S formats at 50Mbps, offering multiple options and high-quality images. In addition, it offers maximum operating flexibility thanks to the fact that it allows you to record the content on affordable memory cards for commercial distribution. The HXR-NX100 camcorder includes two media slots, allowing you to record to two memory cards simultaneously or in a relay, where the recording automatically switches to the second card when the first one is filled.
"The HXR-NX100 camcorder offers the best in color, depth and low-light performance thanks to its Exmor R CMOS sensor, allowing content creators to capture wonderful images in any environment," said Samuel Fares, Product Marketing Manager, Sony Professional Solutions Latin America. "Its ergonomic design ensures comfortable handling, and the ability to record in XAVC S format allows the camcorder to produce quality content.
in a wide range of recording situations, such as corporate events and videos. In the HXR-NX100 camcorder, professionals will find a versatile product that will allow them to focus on doing what they love with minimal difficulty."
