MADRID, 7 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) -
International Airlines Group (IAG), the holding company that brings together British Airways (BA) and Iberia, has chosen Microsoft Office 365 as a business communication solution for its 58,000 employees, the technology company said, so that its workers can work virtually at any time and from anywhere.
"Giving our employees the tools and freedom to get more out of their day-to-day activities has been a key component in our decision to choose Microsoft," said Nigel Underwood, IAG's Chief Systems Officer.
"It is an excellent example of change within the IAG group, which will allow us to create a more efficient common IT platform for airlines and help us reduce costs," he said.
IAG has sought a comprehensive solution for BA, Iberia, IAG Cargo and Avios that allows employees to work together more easily and ensures access to the critical business tools that a global airline group requires.
This agreement includes Office 365, with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Lync Online and Yammer, and provides the features and security needed to help British Airways and Iberia transform their businesses and use cloud-based solutions.
