Several representatives of the Supervisory and Asset Management Commission of the State Council of China (SASAC) have visited telefónica's headquarters in Madrid, Telefónica District, within the framework of a conference held between the operator and the official Chinese body.
The president of Telefónica, César Alierta, received the members of the delegation, led by the vice president of SASAC, Huang Danhua.
The delegation also visited the Wayra Academy in Madrid, where Telefónica's start-up accelerator helps selected teams of entrepreneurs develop their ideas to create new technology companies.
SASAC is the Chinese ministry under the State Council responsible for the supervision and management of Chinese state-owned enterprises. In 2012, a total of 54 saSAC companies were listed in the Fortune 500 ranking.
Between 2002 and 2012 and under the management of SASAC, the companies dependent on the agency have multiplied their revenues sevenfold to approximately 2.8 billion euros, growing in this period at an average annual rate of 20.9 percent.
