Quantel announced the appointment Leonardo Emilio Gañán as the new vice president of the company, for Latin America and the Caribbean, in order to promote growing efforts in sales and marketing in the region. Emilio will report directly to Quantel director Martin Mulligan.
Emilio Gañán has worked in the industry for more than 25 years, of which 19 has been in Latin America, in the creation of relationships and sales distribution channels. Your experience includes administration and hiring of strategic personnel. Also has been a consultant in all aspects of technology for media and market deployment, such as mobile TV, IPTV, VOD, broadcast and D-Cinema.
Before entering Quantel, Gañán worked as regional director for Mexico and the Caribbean, and key accounts in South Florida, for Thomson Broadcast. While there, he developed the market for open signal for television, radio and mobile television; and markets for cinema, digital cameras, systems for news production and compression solutions for satellite, terrestrial and telecommunications applications.
He was also regional director for Latin America of Grass Valley, where he was in charge of the organization's sales and services, including direct sales and distribution channels.
