The Granite monitoring equipment Thomson's MPEG was awarded an Emmy Award in the category of "Monitoring for compliance with flow standards" transport for ATSC & DVB". This year, the Emmy Awards for the category of technologies and engineering were more competitive than ever before, with a 75% increase in the number of entries.
The results of the Emmy Award, after the progressive success of the range of Granite MPEG monitoring, rely on continued R&D effort to to support upcoming standards and formats such as H.264 and transport over IP. This is the second Technology Emmy Award given to the Thomson test and measurement products, the other obtained by your analyzer of real-time MPEG, which was awarded in 1999.

& Technology for Broadcasting, including broadcasting,
cable and satellite distribution, and secondly, Science,
Engineering & Technology for Broadband and Television
Personnel, which includes interactive television,
games, as well as internet, cell phones, private networks
and personal media players.
