Vqual's new Cerify system is the world's first fully automated system for verifying file-based digital video content before it is used or transmitted.
Cerify has a wide range of users that includes all kinds of broadcasters, content and video storage houses. The product tests every aspect of digital video and audio to ensure delivery in the correct format and to the required specifications. All types of content in digital media are supported, including feature films, news, sporting events, documentaries, commercials, entertainment programs, novels and sitcoms, which can be received from various sources. The system automatically verifies parameters, formats, resolutions, data rates, video/audio quality levels, and compliance/accuracy with video and audio standards.
Cerify, which operates completely automatically, reliably and faster than in real time, allows the channel to confirm that the contents are correct before being used in the production chain, prior to its transmission. The system supports most video standards and formats, including SD, HD (720p, 1080i or others), 24 fps, NTSC, PAL, Secam, H.264/AVC, MPEG-4, VC-1 or H.263, MPEG-2, AAC, AACplus, HE AAC or AC3 audio format.
Media files can be categorized according to the degree of priority and error events that are discovered, and Cerify can move suspicious content to a quarantine server. It automatically generates an email to the responsible areas according to the definition of the error and its location, providing the timecode and the images of the video boxes or the waveform of the audio with the affected area highlighted. The Cerify system, controlled by a standard interface based on a web browser, comprises one or more cabinet-mounted media test units and allows many users to visualize processing progress and error reporting.
