Now camera operators can use the spare batteries of their DV cameras to get a smooth and bright output from their Litepanel LED lighting systems. The new DV battery adapter dock easily powers the mini-head Litepanels, making them a standalone light source, capable of working with two standard DV camera batteries from Panasonic, Canon or Sony.
The DV battery adapter dock for Litepanels simply plugs into the back of the head of a mini flood or spot. Once the base is secured, two batteries can be easily adjusted in place to power the assembly for 8 hours.
The DV battery option for Litepanels allows users to employ lightweight Lithium-ion batteries (in conjunction with the remaining existing DV battery rechargers), rather than carrying the heavy belts or cumbersome battery packs on their shoulders.
Portable balanced daylight lighting systems – winners of the 2005 Emmy Award for outstanding engineering development – employ light-emitting diode technology to produce soft, projected light, ideal in interviews, vehicle interiors or to illuminate sites that need easy transportation.
The lightweight DV battery adapter dock is available in three versions: DV-CP-P (Panasonic), DV-CP-S (Sony), and DV-CP-C (Canon). The DV battery adapter for Litepanels is also compatible with your own infrared lighting systems.
