Final Draft, Inc. announced the release of version 2.5 of Final Draft AV, a significant improvement of the word processor with all the benefits, designed especially for the edition of audiovisual scripts to double column. The double-column format is used by professionals and consumers to write and produce their commercials, documentaries, films, short films and other materials for non-linear editing. Final Draft AV 2.5 includes the revolutionary new reaccommodation guide line, as well as import and export facilities to assist non-creative contributors during the script approval process.
"People tell us that before using AV they spent more time formatting their scripts than creating them," says Marc Madnick, president and board member of Final Draft, Inc. –With Final Draft AV you can create a draft print for production in a fraction of the time required with a standard word processor." The difference between Final Draft AV and other standard word processors is its unique ability to align content in video and audio columns and keep them aligned throughout the creative process.
A unique new editing feature in final Draft AV is the Rearrangement Guide Line. "With the blue Rearrangement Guide Line, it is possible to catch and drop text and view it as it will be alienated as you move it. This allows scenes and shots to be reordered and realigned after they have been written," says Kirsten Vensel, product manager for Final Draft AV.
