Latin America. With extensive benefits for radio stations and broadcasters, Comrex offers new audio solutions, with the aim of obtaining the best transmission quality. The products provide audio quality features as if an interviewee were located in the recording studio, despite being placed remotely, explained Raúl Hun, Sales Manager for Latin America at Comrex.
"This year we have two very good products: the first is a product called Opal, with which a URL is generated that is sent to a character to interview, the URL opens in the browser, presses a button and connects to the studio with an audio quality as if it were on the site, since we are using the Opus encoder, that is embedded in browsers. This makes interviews with characters who do not have extensive technical management very easy and improves the quality of the audio compared to interviews conducted by telephone. With this you get an audio of 48 kbit / s or 96 kbit / s and with only 100 milliseconds of delay, "he said during NAB Show 2018.
On another upcoming product, he said: "Another new application is Feel Tab, which for people who already have Comrex, they just have to download the application, by the IP of their computer and through a phone or tablet with the application they connect to the studio obtaining a very good quality to do an interview and you immediately get audio in the studio in any country. We have not yet implemented this solution, as it is new and we will start implementing it at the end of May. The best thing is that there is no cost for those who already use Comrex."
On the company's penetration in Latin America, the executive said: "In Latin America we are doing very well, with these new products that we are placing on the market, with new technologies. Our main markets are Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia, but we reach the entire region."
