Latin America. For 20 years Broadcast Depot has been offering the latest technology for radio stations and television channels. Today it has an important presence in Latin America, but has developed projects in the five continents.
Danilo Bautista, sales director of the company, told TVyVideo+Radio that today they represent more than 200 brands, for which they rely on local partners in each country in order to support the development of the market.
Some of the strongest brands they represent are: in the transmission part RVR Radio, Sira in antennas and Syes in TV transmitters. On remote computers, LiveU; in study the automation systems of VSN, also have a relationship with all the best known brands in the market to execute their integration projects.
On the Latin American market, he said that "it has been very good. The company has always focused on smaller countries, where there is less competition, such as Central America and the Caribbean, taking advantage of the process of technological updating that they live, both for radio and TV. In other countries we are hand in hand with local dealers."
One of the aspects that has differentiated the company is that they have important stock to respond quickly to the needs of customers. Among the latest projects he has developed in the region is with HCH Televisión in Honduras; in Panama they have just sold several Syes transmitters and 20 LiveU systems that Telesur acquired to distribute them in its network of journalists in 14 countries.
On the trends for radio, he said that one of the most important is visual radio. "It's a way for broadcasters to address the challenges posed by the internet and social media with platforms like Facebook Live and Youtube Live. In some cases they have converted the stations into TV channels that are transmitted by Pay-TV systems, followed by operating expenses of radio stations."
To integrate video from radio consoles, Broadcast Depot represents the Avra system. Channels are using it to convey the image from their announcers, music videos and even commercial content. Some broadcasters have changed their studio to offer a more modern image for their video broadcasts.
Another system that is being welcomed, and that represents Broadcast Depot, is the Social Fusion, which allows to integrate graphics with social networks and geolocation maps that allow to take to the screen the comments of a social network of a specific place.
