Colombia. Promoting a digital signal with optimal quality for the viewer is one of the objectives of the National Television Authority, a purpose that is endorsed and supported by the European Union through the financing of monitoring stations.
To make this purpose a reality, within the support plan for the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television, DTT, in Colombia, the Spanish company Gsertel of the Televes Corporation will be in charge of supplying and installing 22 DVB-T/T2 (RCS) monitoring stations in an equal number of capital cities in Colombia.
The continuous monitoring of the signal will allow the ANTV to deploy services of greater added value and quality to its users, regardless of their location throughout the country, and considerably reduce the times of incidents or "fall" of the signal.
With this project and thanks to the control center located in Bogotá, the National Television Authority will have complete and real-time supervision of the signal received by users, including critical parameters such as service continuity.
In this way, the ANTV continues to reinforce the actions of appropriation of Digital Terrestrial Television, this time by the hand of the European Union.
