Colombia. The National Television Board and the director of the National Television Authority, Angela María Mora Soto, delivered the ANTV 2017 Stimuli, a recognition of quality, talent and innovation in the creation and production of audiovisual content.
This year, the entity made for the second time, the call for the promotion of the industry, by allocating more than $ 1,900 million to finance 11 productions that reflect the history of the country and narrate the cultural values of Colombians, through the Fund for the development of Television and content (Fontv).
For this edition, a total of 92 proposals were received from operators of the non-profit public television service, audiovisual content production companies and ethnic groups.
"We are really proud and very satisfied to see the great reception that this call had, but above all the enormous talent of each project. This undoubtedly encourages us to continue supporting this industry so that the content we can see on television is of better quality," said the director of the National Television Authority, Ángela María Mora Soto.
The selection of the awarded projects was led by a committee composed of six external juries, who were given the task of reviewing one by one the projects submitted by the proponents and evaluating, among other aspects, the relationship between the content of the project and the category to which it was postulated, the production plan and the budget.
