Mexico. The Federal Institute of Telecommunications, IFT, opened a call to concession the use, exploitation and commercial exploitation of 257 radio frequencies throughout the country, both in AM and FM signals. There will be 191 frequencies on FM and 66 on AM.
To award each of the frequencies, the IFT will evaluate the fulfillment of the administrative, technical, legal and financial capacities of the interested parties, in the terms established in the corresponding bidding rules. Likewise, it will evaluate the proposals of the participants entered through the mechanism of presentation of offers described in the bidding rules according to the evaluation formula established in them.
The entity clarified that this tender will be carried out essentially in electronic form, however, the interested parties must submit, at some stages of the tender, some documents at the address of the Institute and may not send them in any other way.
The process of awarding these radio frequencies will begin next October and will run until June 2017.
