Colombia. The Francisco José de Caldas Public University in Bogotá has been in operation since 1948 training students from all over the country, and from now on, students of the journalism degree can enjoy renovated radio studios, with AEQtechnology.
Students complete their training by doing radio internships at a real station, called LAUD 90.4FM, which is listened to across campus and on various online platforms.
For the renovation of the studios from radio to digital, a FORUM IP SPLIT digital console (in its 20-fader version) has been installed, with 64 DANTE channels. This allows students to practice with a broadcast console and acquire the appropriate technical skills to join the professional market.
The console incorporates all the basic features necessary in broadcasting environments: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, faderstart, signalling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, external communications management, intercom...
In addition, the installation has been equipped with the FORUM SCREEN software that allows the enlarged and graphical visualization of the parameters of use and the VIRTUAL Software that allows remote control.
The system is completed with the NETBOX 4MH interface for greater performance, with high-quality microphone inputs and headphone outputs, through an IP network over Dante protocol.
This project had the participation of the distributor AVCOM and subsequent integration by MERGE.
