Peru. So far this year, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, issued 673 directorial resolutions authorizing the operation of 172 new radio and television stations, as well as the renovation of 501 stations that allow the continuity of these services in favor of citizens.
Likewise, of the total authorizations and renewals, 244 correspond to areas classified as rural areas and of social interest. In this way, the increase and continuity of the provision of broadcasting services in these vulnerable areas of the country is guaranteed.
Having the broadcasting service is extremely important, especially in vulnerable areas where they do not have another type of communication service. For this reason, efforts are being redoubled so that more Peruvians have broadcasting services.
