Colombia. Bogotá and Medellín were part of the tour that Panasonic made in Colombia to present its most recent solutions in its Connect segment, which includes broadcast and audiovisual, with the help of its local distributors, VCR in Bogotá, Era Electrónica in Medellín, and Merlin as its master distributor for the region.
This is the first event held by the company after its change of structure announced last March, which concentrated all the company's operations in the region from its office in Brazil.
Marcelo Mierelles and Maciel Albuquerque, representatives of Panasonic, explained that Connect concentrated the solutions in four segments: entertainment, media, government and collaboration. This has allowed them to have a more robust corporate structure and greater product availability.
At the event in Medellín, held in the studios of the local channel Telemedellín, Panasonic and its representatives relaunched the entire line of audiovisual and visualization products, including shoulder cameras, studio cameras, PTZ cameras, video projectors and its Kairos system.
As novelties, they announced that the company is focused on the development of smaller and high quality cameras, shoulder type and PTZ robotics. In addition, it will soon introduce the Cloud version of its Kairos system, which will allow maintenance-free remote production in the Panasonic Cloud service.
Jorge González, Merlin account manager and who also accompanied the tour of Colombia, said that the new strategy has given good results to Panasonic, they have had an important growth in projects this year, added to the availability of products, since they have not been affected by the microcomponent crisis. He highlighted the markets of Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru as the fastest growing.
