Colombia. Regional and national public channels participated in the first audience measurement workshop that took place at RTVC's facilities; activity that is part of the strategies of minTIC to promote analysis, innovation and convergence in public television.
The objective of the meeting was to share experiences, methodologies, exchange good practices and collectively build new routes for measuring the consumption of open and digital television screens.
During the working day, each channel had the opportunity to exchange experiences, doubts, achievements, lessons learned, among others. Kantar Ibope, GlobalNews and the National Consulting Center also participated.
The space sought to support the updating of knowledge, take advantage of tools and the construction of networks that add to the improvement of the quality of the contents.
Between January and April of this year, the public channels supported by MinTIC jointly registered 24 million visits in digital environments, which also translated into more than 21 million minutes consumed, this according to measurements made by Kantar Ibope Media.
MinTIC has allocated during 2022 about $2.8 billion (about US$630,000) in studies to measure television audiences, advice to public channels and licensing the use and support of tools and platforms for analysis of television consumption indices, through alliances with Kantar Ibope Media and GlobalNews.
