International. Haivision Hub is a software that helps the management of video streaming devices and live streaming routing, with a cloud-based service.
The operation is that, through a single web browser window, users can configure, monitor and control all their Haivision peripheral devices, including video encoders (such as Makito X and X4), video decoders and SRT gateways. So this software allows broadcasters to have complete control of video paths on any network with direct management of edge devices.
Such built-in device management capability simplifies low-latency video routing for streaming contribution and live production. That is, users can create live video streams between their peripheral devices, over any network, including the public Internet. Operators also benefit as management is done from a single pane of glass for video connectivity.
Haivision Hub also offers three cloud-native processing engines. Two are for real-time transcoding: one is responsible for optimizing bandwidth and downstream compatibility, while the second is responsible for routing and CDN delivery. Now, the third engine, which is responsible for audio processing, serves to mix and map audio transmissions in real time, something very useful for the transmission of live sporting events, where each regional destination shares the audio transmission of the main event, but with comments in the local language.
Ghislain Collette, Vice President of Product Management at Haivision, commented, "Our latest Haivision Hub update brings a wealth of highly anticipated and exciting new features to our streaming and cloud customers. The ability to set up and control all of their Makitos, no matter where they are, and stream live video over any type of network, allows broadcasters to produce high-quality video events anywhere, on-premises or in the cloud, using live content from anywhere."
