Blackmagic launched new versions of its production systems

blackmagic designLatin America. The Australian company Blackmagic Design, presented new versions of its production systems, among which are the studio cameras for live broadcasts, the Hyperdeck Studio and Web Presenter 4K.

Studio Camera: These comprehensive cameras provide professional features and can quickly get ready to start recording instantly anywhere. Designed in carbon fiber-reinforced polycarbonate, they include an integrated 7-inch viewfinder and are extremely lightweight, making them easier to transport than other traditional studio units.

These new models offer the same features as other large cameras in a compact and portable design. Thanks to their colorimetry and wide dynamic range, they provide exceptional performance in challenging lighting conditions for cinema-quality images. The ISO value of 25 600 allows extraordinary results to be achieved in dimly lit places. Other features include communication system, pilot light, color grading functions and burning to USB discs.

Although these models have been designed for live productions, they allow you to burn Blackmagic RAW files to USB discs and can be used in any type of situation in which a tripod is used. With a 7-inch viewfinder, they are ideal for talk shows, newsletters, sports, educational materials, conferences, presentations and even weddings. The touchscreen includes side handles and physical controls that make it easy to track shots and use the camera for extended periods.

HyperDeck Studio: The new line of recorders feature an improved design and provide compatibility with a greater variety of codecs and storage media. All models allow you to record and play back H.264, ProRes and DNx files, with PCM or AAC audio, and also offer the possibility of using SD and UHS-II cards, or SSD drives in the case of the Pro version.

These devices allow you to use SD cards and SSD drives to record high-quality audiovisual material in H.264, ProRes and DNxHD files, with PCM or AAC audio, or H.265 in the case of the 4K version. They also generate timecodes and reference signals to record in isolation and synchronize multiple units. For these reasons, they are ideal for broadcasts, live productions or digital posters.

HyperDeck Studio recorders have been completely redesigned and offer dozens of innovative features. Advanced models include new professional controls and more connections on the rear panel.

Web Presenter 4K: The new model includes an improved H.264 encoder for streaming over the Internet in UHD. It has a compact design with a 12G SDI input that allows to reduce the definition of the sources, in order to connect HD or UHD devices and emit signals in 1080p or 2160p format, and is detected as a webcam when connected to a computer equipment.

Blackmagic Web Presenter is a professional device that allows live broadcasts on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other similar platforms over an Ethernet network. It works in a similar way to a modern television transmitter and includes USB ports that allow it to be detected as if it were a webcam, which offers the possibility of connecting it to a computer and transmitting through programs or even applications such as Skype or Zoom. Alternatively, it is also possible to do so via a 4G or 5G mobile phone. This equipment also has an output that allows you to monitor the images, the volume of the audio and even the technical data of the signal through various graphs.

The Blackmagic Web Presenter device is compatible with the most popular streaming platforms and has been designed to broadcast live in professional quality, without skipping frames. To do this, simply connect it to the Internet. Its configuration is simple, since the utility program allows you to select the platform and update the transmission key.
