Tubi expands its presence in the Mexican market

Mexico. As part of its global expansion strategy, Tubi, one of Fox Entertainment's divisions, announced the official launch of its free TV and movie service in Mexico. The platform is available on VIDAA smart OS of Hisense TVs, mobile devices (including IOS and Android), on the web and additional devices that will be added in the future.

The AVOD (Ad Supported Video-On-Demand) service offers an extensive collection of content from the United States and Latin America dubbed and subtitled in Spanish. Tubi features a special selection of content including the most popular genres, Hollywood classics and family entertainment titles, as well as the best of TV Azteca, including: Exatlón Mexico, MasterChef, Lo que la Gente Cuenta, Montecristo, Mientras Haya Vida, Bellezas Indomables and Amor en Custodia.

TV Azteca, one of the two largest Spanish-language content producers in the world, will offer its most popular titles through Tubi completely free. The station will also be responsible for Tubi's advertising sales in Mexico and thanks to its strong position in the market will promote the platform among Mexican audiences.

"In conjunction with TV Azteca, our presence in Mexico will be well positioned to carry out our mission of providing popular content at no cost and for everyone."

"We firmly believe that creativity and innovation are the best ways to reach audiences and keep growing. Tubi is an ally with whom we will reach more audiences."

Tubi also formed an alliance with Hisense – a leading brand in the manufacture of televisions worldwide – and its VIDAA smart OS platform in Mexico. Tubi will be preloaded on the main interface of VIDAA TV and will stand out as a prominent app in the "Vidda Free" section, and will be displayed as a direct alternative to the free content button of the remote control. In addition, Tubi will be promoted in stores during this year (when it is safe to go to them) and in the boxes of retail products in 2021.
