Latin America. The ARRI Academy launched a new course designed for lighting and video production professionals of all levels. "Lighting Systems Control with Richard Cadena" is a video that serves as the best and latest guide for its customers to start working with digital lighting control through the use of DMX, RDM, wireless DMX and Ethernet-based networks.
This 11-part series consists of short informative videos with classes ranging from 5 to 34 minutes. Course attendees will incorporate practical knowledge of both standard and latest technologies and will be trained in the latest in lighting technology.
The full list of classes is as follows: DMX, Building DMX network, Troubleshooting DMX network, RDM, Wireless DMX, Enter to ethernet-based networking, Testing ethernet-based networks: PING and IPCONGIF commands, Art-Net, sACN, Consoles and ARRI LED Ecosystem.
The series is taught by Richard Cadena, renowned ETCP trainer and Certified Entertainment Electrician. Cadena brings more than 30 years of experience in the lighting industry and has been training professionals in the lighting industry in the area of entertainment around the world. This series provides an overview of both established and emerging technologies, best practices, and guides users in solving potential problems.
Cadena's knowledge and experience in the lighting discipline and industry are vast. In the episode about wireless DMX, for example, he explains, "When people tell me, 'Oh, I don't trust wireless DMX,' I start asking questions." He continues, "Well, what kind of wireless have you been using? Which manufacturer was the transmitter from? What manufacturer was the receiver from?'" Normally what you find is that they don't really understand best practices."
