Latin America. Two recognitions and increased customer acceptance, accompanied by improved quality of service and user experience, confirm Qligent's right path in the broadcast industry and new video services, said Ted Korte, the company's CTO.
"We have focused on quality of service and experience, compliance verification for streams and this year we added for on-demand services. We can do file-base QC as well as VOD verification. This means that we can establish ourselves in a market, outside a plant, outside the facilities of our customers (customer sets) make another Qf if necessary. It also verifies AVR to conformity, adapted bit rate, full acceptance (full compliance). All the profiles are there, line-up, latency is good, times, all that kind of stuff," he told TVyVideo+Radio.
The executive said: "And the other equally big and important – and for this we were finalists in two IABM BaM Awards and NAB Project To The Year Award – was for our Visual Analytics solution. With it you can do predictive and big data analysis; we cross the path from the asset management system to the user's device and study all kinds of problems that may arise in the production chain. So big data analysis can discover silenced problems, so with this we end up with the excuse that there was a problem and nobody reported it, with this system we can detect them in seconds."
Korte mentioned that the company's penetration is growing in Latin America and that they are already looking for new markets in the region: "We have a greater reception of our business in the segment. We have a good partner in Argentina and we are in talks with various cable providers. We are also considering options in Mexico, Ecuador, these are some of the countries where we are conducting important negotiations. So we're a small company, but people are starting to pay attention to us. We expect expansion to be rapid as we look for more partners. Brazil is a big market, although we don't have a presence yet, but we would like to be there."
