Latin America. After a change in the strategy of addressing the Latin market, the Company Dejero has managed to position itself in six countries in the region, with a presence in different sectors that use its wireless transmission solutions, beyond broadcasting.
This new approach, which includes the brand's direct presence in each country, was designed and adopted since the arrival in Dejero two years ago of Rick Neumann, the company's sales director for Latin America. He told TVyVideo+Radio the details of these changes and the results achieved so far.
In the period he has been with the company, he has concentrated on organizing the business for the region, adding integrators. Today the Dejero brand is in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and the next target is Peru.
"The market is in a transition and there is a lot of competition, so it is essential to provide good customer service. With integrators we give added value, offering new services such as rental. In addition, if there are any problems with the equipment, they are able to provide a faster solution and we are in the process of training to provide technical service locally. We also reached agreements with internet providers in order to guarantee service to end users," he said.
Dejero is growing in markets other than broadcast, such as government, military and private security, all entities that collect information on video and need to transmit it. Recent cases of use of Dejero technology in the region are found in the Olympic Games in Brazil, the visits of Pope Francis in Chile and now in Panama, among others.
"We were born in broadcast and that's why our business is still mainly in broadcast, but the market is growing in other sectors that we have called connectivity. Today the market division is 75% broadcast, 25% connectivity. In 2019 the connectivity segment will continue to grow, reaching 45% of the business," he concluded.
