Peru. Students and graduates of universities and institutes of higher education nationwide will test their creativity and spirit of innovation in the development of technological solutions at HackaTEL 2018, a Telecommunications Hackathon organized by Osiptel in partnership with the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), under the auspices of Oracle Corporation, specialized in the development of computer solutions, and the Chamber of Commerce of Lima (CCL).
The challenge proposed by HackaTEL 2018 is to create new and innovative technological solutions that improve the regulatory, regulatory, supervisory, sanctioning and supervisory functions of the regulatory entity, as well as the functions of resolving claims and controversies.
Osiptel seeks to foster research and innovative spirit among students in the country, promote the development of entrepreneurial skills and contribute to the innovation of telecommunications applications at the service of users.
Participants must compete in teams of 2 to 4 people, developing prototypes, technological applications and solutions that incorporate designs or software with potential for impact on the telecommunications sector. The final product must show the minimum functionalities attributed to it, allow interaction with the user and clearly demonstrate the application potential it would have in the future when it is completely finished developing.
The HackaTEL 2018 will be held on August 24, 25 and 26. Those interested in participating can access the rules and register on the website hackatel.osiptel.gob.pe until august 10. For any questions or queries about the requirements, write to the mail [email protected] or call 225-1313 annex 2483.
All works will be evaluated by a qualifying jury and the winners will be announced on August 26, in conjunction with the award ceremony. The winners will receive a Mentoring for business development, led by StartUPC (first place); scholarships for the Intensive Specialization Program in Business Intelligence (BI) and Digital Marketing for ECommerce course -both at the Lima Chamber of Commerce-, tickets for the E-Summit Peru E-Commerce (CCL) and Oracle Certification exam vouchers (first and second place); Oracle Database 18c talk (second and third place) and recognition diplomas for all members of the winning groups.
