Colombia. For the third consecutive year, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, MinTIC, through its Cinema for All initiative, joins the SmartFilms film festival, to create the SmarTIC Inclusive category, in which participants must record a short film of maximum five minutes with a cell phone or mobile device.
The call will close on August 31, so until that date the short films made will be received. To participate, it is required that the short film be produced by at least one person with a disability, who has the certificate issued by the EPS.
Cine Para Todos seeks to offer people with disabilities new entertainment spaces thanks to the inclusion facilities provided by ICTs. Together with SmartFilms, this space of cultural and social innovation is created, where the filmmaker has no age restriction and the story he wishes to tell must be created under his own standards and concepts of realization, in addition to deciding any film genre. The main evaluation aspects of the short film are the story, the narrative and the creativity.
SmartFilms will be held in Bogotá from September 14 to 16, where the selected short films will be screened and there will be cultural and academic spaces. SmartFilms has positioned itself as a destination of interest in the city and this year expects around 8,000 visitors.
In the fourth version of SmartFilms, the SmarTIC Inclusive category is going for its third edition by the hand of Cinema for All.
