Latin America. A small, lightweight, touch-enabled audio mixer with extensive features is one of Yellowtec's main solutions, reaching up to 15% of the company's sales for Latin American markets, said Andy Mikutta, Yellowtec's Sales Director.
"Intellimix is a fixed newsroom mixer for studio that provides flexible channel inputs, introduces a new fader system that we call G-Touch. It is a very flexible console with many features; you wouldn't expect such features from such a small console, it has a high quality and is our most recent product. There are our M!ka mounts and our iXm microphones – which are very popular in the United States – due to their simplicity and excellent audio quality. We developed a technology called LEA, which controls the level of recording, meaning that anything that is done on the microphone can be sure that the recording will be heard in perfect condition," he said during NAB Show 2018.
And he described: "For intellimix we designed a kind of slot has a guidance system and this is the difference with any other touch system, because if you occupy the touch-faders on a monitor you have no return on the physical reaction of the device, you can not feel what was the lowest position in the fader and that does not compromise the editing."
Mikutta commented that his company's solutions have been widely accepted by professionals in the audio industry. "We have sold many Intellimix to post-production services, as it is very easy to use but the set of presentations can be optimized for the needs of each client. So you have everything but they can use it quickly and very simply, that's the big benefit. The market is video-post, radio, newsrooms, podcasters and users of similar fields," he said.
"We sell a lot across the United States for Latin America; at the moment our percentage of sale in the region is from 10% to 15%. There is room to improve this range. On the other hand, in Latin America we have good acceptance of our products, people recognize how good the quality we offer is," he said.
