Colombia. On March 21, the first National Media Forum "Connecting Colombia" was held in Medellín, led by the National Association of Media, Asomedios.
The opening of the event was in charge of Tulio Ángel, executive president of Asomedios, and then gave way to Marcelo Liberini, digital vice president of Caracol Television, who addressed the theme of the 'Transformation of the media in the digital era'.
On behalf of the National Television Authority, ANTV, María Camila Villamizar, member of the National Television Board, explained during her speech: 'The Role of the State in the Audiovisual Model in Convergence', that "the State has the challenge of adapting its public policy, regulations and regulation to the new convergent environment".
Likewise, he stressed the evolution of television in Colombia, the role and challenges of the state with respect to public TV and the different initiatives that anTV has executed to promote better content. As part of these, the meetings have been held: La Tele de Todos, La Tele que Somos, La Tele que Queremos and now La Tele de los Niños, which involve small and large producers and filmmakers interested in making a better television for all.
The entity has also made efforts to eliminate regulatory asymmetry, reduce barriers to entry and encourage new content from those who work day by day in the construction of a better country through television.
This meeting was attended by other guest panelists such as Martha Ortiz, director of El Colombiano; Francisco Plata, regional manager of RCN Radio; Adriana Obando, Director of Innovation and Content at Teleantioquia; Carlos Mejía, president of Efectimedios and Jorge Pareja, director of Minuto 30; who spoke of "The evolution of discourse, a change in the semantics of the media".
