Colombia. Continuing with the development of the training sessions included in the International Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and Colombia, on February 19 and 20 they attended the Persidera facilities.
This visit was attended by delegates from the public operators RTVC, Regional Channels, the Communications Regulation Commission and the National Television Authority, with the participation of Ernesto Orozco Orozco, member of the National Television Board and Ángela María Mora Soto, Director of the National Television Authority, ANTV.
Persidera is one of the largest television network operators in Italy, in charge of five (5) digital multiplexes nationwide that provide broadcasting services to content providers, and is key to achieving the objective of knowing the experience that this country has had in the transition in the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television, DTT, and in particular the role played by this operator in the provision of the television service.
During these days, in addition to knowing technical aspects related to the operation carried out by Persidera, which includes providing the national broadcasting service to content providers authorized in Italy that do not have a transmission network, knowledge has been exchanged in relation to the Italian experience in the process of transition and development of the open television service from the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television.
During the experience in Rome, knowledge was also exchanged in relation to the regulatory practices derived from the implementation of DTT.
