Brazil. Arri presented at SET Expo 2017 a wide range of its LED lights, which included the company's SkayPanel and L-series fresnels. In addition, it exhibited its top-of-the-line camera, the Alexa SXT, an important camera for cinematography.
TvyVideo+Radio spoke with Robert Breitenstein, Arri's sales and marketing representative for Latin America, who stressed that today everyone who is designing the lighting for a studio is doing it with LEDs. In fact, Arri has participated in projects of three studios in the region that have recently implemented LED lighting. Among them Telefe in Argentina and Canal Uno in Colombia.
In addition, he stressed that "the Skypanel has already sold 25 thousand units worldwide, 100 of them are in Brazil. People are changing the way they look at lighting and everyone is looking for LED technology and new top-of-the-line products."
In Brazil, Arri has an office in São Paulo for two years, which has allowed the company to achieve significant growth in the country and throughout the region, because it provides close technical support and they have had the possibility of serving customers from Argentina, who are closer to reaching Brazil than sending their products to New York or California for review.
