Latin America. Faced with new technological advances, companies need to offer and promote their entire range of solutions, and although EVS has great acceptance in its developments in sports, its offer goes further: news, live production, in studio and even switchers are in its offer, said Alfredo Cabrera, VP of Sales for Latin America of EVS.
During his presence at Expo Cine, Video y TV 2017, held in Mexico City, he mentioned: "We are working with Mexican broadcasters in mobile units, studios, sports, novels, contribution and production, we are expanding the arrival of the EVS -which was known for the sports part- but we also have for the area of news, live production and studio, and even switchers, which we are actively promoting in Mexico."
He commented that the company's business development is on the rise: "We have closed important businesses last year; we now have important businesses and maintain the office in Mexico. We have a renewal of our equipment to give training, demonstrations and lend them to broadcasters to experience the technology."
He stated that EVS develops new products in cutting-edge technologies: "We are working on several projects in IP and HDR. The equipment currently supports high dynamic ranges and 4K. We have the XT4K XS4K replay and there are already several products in Latin America working. All support four 4K channels – 16 HD channels are added – and also go to HDR without any problem. Even the graphics components we have to these components are also 4K and HDR."
On the company's performance, he said: "This year was slow from the beginning and two months ago it began to resume with interesting projects; the slowness is due to multiple factors, but it is improving."
